ATF Budget hikes, Gun Registration, Gun Confiscation and More …
The Swamp wants to fill our stockings with gun control this Christmas.
They’re about to vote on a $1.7 TRILLION, 4,155-page omnibus that was drafted at 1:30 in the morning that would give the ATF a massive budget hike, and provide funding for gun registration, gun confiscation, and the facilitation of Biden’s pistol ban.
Worst of all, Mitch McConnell is already on board with this trillion-dollar gun grab. He’s stated that the omnibus achieves all of his “priorities”…
…Does that mean that McConnell’s priorities are to ban pistols and reward the ATF?
After McConnell just shunned gun owners in the midterm elections, we need to speak up and ensure that OUR priorities are heard loud and clear to stop this trainwreck of a bill before it’s voted on by the end of the week.
The omnibus would provide the ATF with a budget of $1,747,000,000 that well exceeds the rate of inflation.
That’s right — at a time when most Americans are struggling with inflation, the ATF gets nearly $2 BILLION at its disposal to enforce its gun grabs like Biden’s pistol ban.
Not only that, this anti-gun omnibus gives tens of thousands of dollars to compensate the families of slain ATF agents. Is this money a tacit admission that the Biden administration is planning to ban, and potentially confiscate, millions of pistol brace firearms?
Per the Biden-Harris Administration’s new rule, pistol owners will now have to complete a form that ATF estimates will take 4 hours to register their pistol brace firearm.
Leaks suggest you will be forced to give the ATF your name, Social Security number, address, phone number, email, payment information, FINGERPRINTS, as well as the make, model, and serial number of your firearm — and provide photographic evidence of your compliance.
Failure to comply could result in jail time and a $250,000 fine — and the confiscation of your firearms!
Let’s not forget the countless horror stories of the ATF harassing and intimidating honest gun owners for merely exercising their constitutionally protected rights.
This year, the ATF showed up at a gun owner’s home in Delaware demanding information on his firearms, apparently without a warrant.
It’s reprehensible that any so-called “pro-gun” Senator would even consider rewarding the ATF with more taxpayer dollars after engaging in such tyrannical behavior.
Moreover, this omnibus gun control bill will give the ATF $14 million dollars to “modernize” the illegal gun registry that the agency is compiling. Through GOA efforts, we eventually learned the ATF has created a registry containing almost one billion gun records.
And as you know, gun registration is frequently the first step towards gun CONFISCATION. The ATF’s registry needs to be defunded — not rewarded with millions of extra dollars.
That’s why it’s critical that we take this moment not only to play defense, but also to go on the offensive against the ATF and Biden’s anti-gun policies.
Accordingly, our pre-written letter not only tells Congress to vote no on this disastrous bill, but also what appropriations riders SHOULD be included in the bill.
Specifically, we’re asking Congress to DEFUND:
- The ATF’s two unconstitutional gun control actions (the first one makes permanent the ATF registry and it bans the future sale of 80% receivers without a background check; the second one imposes a pistol-brace ban that could affect up to 40 million guns)
- And defund the Cornyn-Murphy gun control law (passed in June) which among other things gives money to states for passing Red Flag laws
But with McConnell already showing support for this trainwreck of a bill, we need to turn up the heat on Congress before the government funding deadline on Friday.
