Washington, D.C. – Today, Gun Owners of America (GOA) and its leadership across Texas are thrilled to announce the launch of their statewide bus tour, the “No Compromise Texas Tour,” in the leadup to the November election.
With the aim of engaging communities across the state to rally support for candidates who champion the Second Amendment, GOA’s tour will kick off in Fort Worth on September 12th and make over 60 stops over seven weeks. Expected guests of honor will include candidates for both the Texas House and Senate, Texas’ 28th Congressional District candidate Jay Furman, Congressman Chip Roy, Lt. Col. Allen West, GOA’s Senior Vice President Erich Pratt, GOA Executive Vice President John Velleco, GOA Texas Sate Director Leigh Gibson and GOA spokesman Stephen Willeford, the “Barefoot Defender.”
The tour will officially kick off with the GOA Texas fundraising dinner: “The Second Amendment: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” on September 28th at the American Journey Experience in Irving, TX.

Erich Pratt, GOA’s Senior Vice President, issued the following statement:
“We are so excited to travel across Texas in support of so many 2A champions. Texas is a battleground state, and we are committed to energizing our pro-gun base to get out the vote. We hope to bolster the pro-gun movement in Austin with this tour, and can’t wait to meet so many activists and supporters along the way.”
Leigh Gibson, GOA’s Texas State Director, added:
“There is so much at stake with this coming November election, and our rights will ultimately expand or retract depending on the results. Texas is known for being pro-gun, but unfortunately, our reputation does not match our record. We hope to change that going forward, and rallying the troops in support of our candidates is a critical step to accomplishing that mission.”
