Pennsylvania GOA Team Orchestrates Defeat of Kamala Harris

More Down Ballot PA Wins for Gun Owners

In a landslide victory, Donald Trump won a second term to the White House defeating the rabidly anti-gun Harris/Walz ticket — and it was your Pennsylvania GOA leadership team who coordinated the downfall of Harris with gun owners.

GOA partnered with Hunter Nation to send a massive “get out to vote” text message campaign to 675,000 hunters and gun owners in the key swing states of Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Wisconsin. These texts included a special video message from Ted Nugent and Donald Trump, Jr.

GOA’s Pennsylvania team forged this relationship with Hunter Nation, mobilizing thousands of hunters and gun owners across Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Wisconsin that sealed Harris’ defeat.

I would personally like to thank PA Empowered 2A Coordinator, Suk Smith, for putting together this crucial relationship with Hunter Nation. It made all the difference in voter turnout among hunters and gun owners.

It’s also great news that President Trump has promised to repeal the Biden-Harris executive actions within his first week of office. GOA is preparing to help the Trump Administration repeal gun control and restore our Second Amendment rights.

Congress and U.S. Senate

Congress

GOA-endorsed, pro-gun stalwart Scott Perry (PA-10) defeated Janelle Stelson. This was a huge win for gun owners and we congratulate Rep. Perry on his decisive win.

Additionally, the GOP flipped two other congressional seats. Republican Rob Bresnahan defeated Matt Cartwright in PA’s 8th Congressional District. Former State Representative Ryan Mackenzie won his race against Susan Wild in the 7th District.

U.S. Senate

Republican Dave McCormick defeated anti-gun Senator Bob Casey by 34,661 votes with some ballots still outstanding. GOA looks forward to working with Senator-elect McCormick to protect and advance our Second Amendment rights in Washington.

Down Ballot Wins in Pennsylvania State Races

Attorney General

GOA-endorsed candidate Dave Sunday defeated anti-gun Democrat Eugene DePasquale for attorney general. Sunday is the first Republican to win the office since Tom Corbett in 2008. GOA members were instrumental in securing Dave Sunday’s victory in the primary and getting him across the finish line in the general election.

We look forward to working with Dave Sunday to undo the disastrous opinions and policies of former AG Josh Shapiro.

PA Senate

PA Senate District 37

GOA-endorsed Republican candidate Devlin Robinson defeated Mom’s Demand Action candidate Nicole Ruscitto with 53% of the vote. This was a critical race for maintaining a pro-gun majority in the PA Senate, and gun owners turned out to make that happen in Senate District 37.

Down Ballot Losses in Pennsylvania

PA Senate

In Senate District 45, GOA-endorsed Republican candidate Jen Dintini lost to State Representative Nick “The Pretender” Pisciottano (D-38). This was an open seat due to the retirement of pro-gun Democrat Senator Jim Brewster.

PA House

GOA worked hard to flip the Pennsylvania House back to a pro-gun majority. Unfortunately, these GOA-endorsed candidates did not win:

  • Nathan Wolfe (30)
  • Ross Sylvester (36)
  • James Julius (45)
  • Cheryl Bonavita (53)
  • Marie Librizzi (77)
  • Therese Hollen (82)
  • Jasmine Rivera (95)
  • Simone Collins (150)
  • Kris Vollrath (156)

State of the PA General Assembly

PA Senate

The partisan balance in the PA Senate has stayed the same with a 28-22 Republican majority. Due to redistricting, Senate District 15 flipped to the Democrats with State Representative Patty Kim (D-103) winning the seat previously occupied by retiring Republican Senator John DiSanto.

In Senate District 5, Republican Joe Picozzi defeated anti-gun Democrat Jimmy Dillon, restoring the previous partisan balance of 28-22. This is the first time in over twenty years that a Republican will represent Philadelphia.

Additionally, gun owners lost a pro-2A seat due to the retirement of pro-gun Democrat Jim Brewster (D-45). As noted above, anti-gun State Representative Nick “The Pretender” Pisciottano (D-38) won this race. GOA endorsed Republican Jen Dintini for SD 45, but redistricting put victory out of reach for her.

PA House

GOA worked tirelessly to flip the Pennsylvania House back to a pro-gun majority. We targeted several key districts to challenge anti-gun Democrats. Unfortunately, none of these candidates won.

The Democrats will retain their slim majority of 102-101 seats. So, it’s status-quo in the House.

Conclusion

GOA members and supporters scored big wins in the federal and state elections. As we move into the next Pennsylvania legislative session, GOA will keep you informed about bills that affect your constitutionally-protected rights.

Thank you for all that you do!
